Our story

How we got here

Nina and Himmat together
Nina and Himmat

We started as friends, and somewhere along the way, fell in love.

Before there were butterflies, there was friendship. We met and simply enjoyed each other: the easy conversations, the shared jokes, the long evenings that never felt long enough. For a while, we were just two friends who made each other's days better.

Then, slowly and almost without noticing, friendship began to feel like something more. Conversations started to linger, ordinary days felt warmer, and one day the truth was simply there, the best person we knew had become the person we could not imagine life without.

So came the question, and the easiest yes either of us has ever said. What began as friendship had quietly grown into the love of a lifetime, and it only made the two of us stronger.

Now we are counting down to the day we begin the rest of our lives, and we would love nothing more than to have you with us.

Our traditions

Two heritages, one home

Nina's Gujarati roots and Himmat's Punjabi heart, our wedding brings both families, both languages, and both ways of celebrating under one roof.

Nina's Gujarati roots

Her culture, her kitchen, her kind of celebration.

Gujarati culture is part of everyday life for Nina, from the food she grew up with to the traditions she loves and the way she brings people together. And she can't wait to share more of it with her new Punjabi family.

Questions, answered

When should I reply?

Kindly RSVP by 1 July 2027, using the link on your invitation. We need final numbers for both venues, so late replies may miss the dance floor.

What should I wear?

Formal attire, think elegant, not restrictive. The full dress code will be on your invitation.

What happens at the Gurdwara?

The Anand Karaj, what it means to us, has its own page: read the full story. Practically: heads are covered inside the Gurdwara, and head coverings are provided there for everyone.

Can I bring a plus one?

Your invitation will name everyone in your party. If we've missed someone you love, send us a note and we'll do our best.

Are children welcome?

Check your invitation, if the little ones are on it, bring them along. We'd love to see them.

What about gifts?

Your presence is the greatest gift of all. No boxed gifts, please, just bring yourselves, ready to dance.

Dietary requirements?

Tell us when you RSVP and we'll make sure you're looked after.
